1 sCOPE
This Standard is limited to dimensions and capacitiesfor carbon steel and corrosion-resistant stainless steel, forged threaded eyebolts intended primarily for liftingapplications. For carbon steel construction, the sizes arelimited to 1/4 in. through 21/ in., and for corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction, the sizes are limitedto 1/4 in. through 1/ in.This Standard covers the follow-ing types and styles:
(a) iype 1, plain pattern (straight shank)(see Table 1)(1) Style A, long length
(2) Style B, short length
(b) Type 2, shoulder pattern (see Table 2)(1) Style A, long length
(2) Style B, short length
Nonmandatory Appendices A and B contain descrip-tive and cautionary information pertinent to forged eye-bolts. Nonmandatory Appendix C contains informationon the application of eyebolts. NonmandatoryAppendix Dprovides information on eyebolts with met-ric threads M6 through M64 and corresponding materialand performance information.
The inclusion of dimensional data in this Standard isnot intended to imply that all products described arestock production items.Consumers should consult withsuppliers concerning availability of products.
2COMPARISON WITH lso DOCUMENTS
